Fiona Rintoul & Associates Landscape Architects has been serving the Southern Ontario region since 1994.  Based out of Guelph, Fiona Rintoul and her associates believe strongly in creating plant dominated solutions for your landscape design requirements.  With years of experience as a practitioner and educator, Fiona and her team can help you realize an ecological and creative design solution.

This full-service firm has taken the approach that every type of design concept can increase habitat and reduce the need for hard, non-permeable surfaces.  Initially we evaluate which site features are unique to the site, including historical buildings or features, as well as natural history elements such as arboreal, geological, and ecological elements.  Where appropriate, native seed and plant compositions are used in order to achieve these goals.  

Designs emphasize existing mature plant retention, application of site-specific native planting systems, site feature salvage, as well as overall ecologically sound site design. 

 

FRALA collaborates with like-minded professionals such as architects, environmental engineers, ecologists, arborists, and artists.  Multidisciplinary teams lead to enriched design products, particularly if it involves local contributors.
